Will my procedure hurt?
We want your visit to be comfortable, and that means we do what we can to ensure that your time in the dental chair is as free of stress and pain as possible. There are a couple of ways in particular that we accomplish this, by way of some of the latest in dental technology.
One is the Comfort Control Syringe. This syringe, along with a topical gel prior to injection, means our patients feel no pain before a procedure. Something most people don’t realize is that it is not the needle itself that is painful when getting an injection prior to treatment, but it is the anesthesia flowing to the targeted area that causes the pain. With the Comfort Control Syringe, less medicine has to flow out of the needle, and this translates into much less discomfort for patients.
We are also happy to provide laser dentistry to patients who are suffering from gum disease. With the use of our soft tissue laser and hand tools, what once required surgery is now a gentle laser treatment. Plaque and bacteria below the gumline are removed with lasers, so recovery happens more quickly as well.
